RESOURCES - BOOK: THE MULLIGAN

The Apostle Paul was a golfer.

We know this with absolute certainty. Listen to his letter to the Country Club of Rome" (Romans 7)

  • "I do not understand what I do.... for what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate I do." (Could this be the "Yips?")
  • "For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

And of course he told his caddy, Timothy that he had "finished the course" (2 Timothy 4). So we are pretty sure he was a golfer. Apparently he was about a 19 handicap.

I want to simply give you some lessons for life that have not only helped me on the golf course, but have also helped me in life. Growing up playing the game of golf has helped me to be a better lawyer, better husband, a better Senator - a better everything that I have done in my life. I hope you will also benefit from some of these simple lessons from the game of golf. - Tim Philpot.
